As the premier industry event dedicated to bridging the gap between technological innovation and commercial success, Cloud Summit is where thousands of attendees found the sweet spot for networking, learning and infinite growth.

Conceptualization
Beginning with a white canvas and a few ideas, Cloud Summit X quickly started taking shape and became very real, very fast. This campaign was special as it marked the company's 10th anniversary celebration. #nopressure

The Beginnings
With dates and location set, the creative was ready to go live. One idea was to have multiple color options to avoid "brand fatigue." We created brand guidelines, set colors for specific CTAs and templates to keep the overall brand fresh. For example, the "X" above was initially set in white to emphasize the event's 10th anniversary, whereas in the second half of the campaign, I developed the "X" with more depth to show a subtle, yet significant, visual difference.

Brand Guidelines
I needed to create brand guidelines to set the standard for our company, globally and ensure that all parties use the brand elements consistently. I was in charge of creating, distributing and overseeing all creative assets and direction throughout the Cloud Summit X campaign.



Cloud Summit X Takes Shape
From concept to design, Cloud Summit X needed to take shape quickly to reach the masses in an effective manner. Designing the prospectus for the sales team and the templates for all marketing collateral was only the beginning. I designed the website, app, on-site branding, printed collateral, web banners, advertising, hotel key cards, keynote presentations, LED screens, products and more. The list goes on and on, but so you don't get bored and stop scrolling, I'm adding a few design pieces below. If you want to see or hear more, I'm happy to share more details about the campaign. Overall, all elements were executed successfully on a massive scale.

The Cloud Summit X Experience
Dedicated to commercializing technology, Cloud Summit is a focused, three-day event where you can learn what’s new, what’s trending and what’s on the horizon. Packed with unlimited networking opportunities, you’ll learn how to leverage partner solutions, collaborate in ways you never imagined, and use cloud to achieve new levels of success. Simply put, Cloud Summit is the must-attend event of the year for anyone who wants to build, buy or sell cloud and digital technology.

Pedicabs
We wanted to create a memorable experience for the attendees, so we branded Pedicabs. Something that was culturally relevant to San Diego. Pedicabs are a fun, unorthodox way to reach your destination, while experiencing all the excitement downtown San Diego has to offer.


Women in Cloud
At the highly anticipated Women in Cloud event at Cloud Summit X, some of the world's most brilliant and prolific female leaders in technology shared their insight and advice on being successful in their respective careers.

Keynote Presentations
I was in charge of the design and delivery of presentation templates. I made sure that all the presentations from keynotes to breakout sessions had brand cohesion. I also personally designed many of the executive keynote presentations.
Below are a few examples of graphics, icons, logo farms and other design elements that needed to be created specifically for a 10ft LED screen at the event.



Alex Honnold is a professional adventure rock climber whose audacious free-solo ascents of America’s biggest cliffs have made him one of the most recognized and followed climbers in the world. A gifted but hard-working athlete, Alex “No Big Deal” Honnold is known as much for his humble, self-effacing attitude as he is for the dizzyingly tall cliffs he has climbed without a rope to protect him if he falls. He is also the star of the Oscar-winning documentary, "Free Solo."

Petco Park Final Night Party
The final night party was baseball themed as it was held at the world famous Petco Park in San Diego. Sounds fun, but if you look close, this was another opportunity for branding. We had to create branded elements from booth displays, picnic blankets, lanyards, to baseballs, LED screens, coasters, pennants and anything that had room to print.
